Popovich Mum on Spurs’ Roster
SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Tim Duncan and Gregg Popovich are back at work. Whether other notable San Antonio Spurs show up for training camp remains a mystery.
Popovich said Friday the Spurs are browsing the free agent market like any other team now that the NBA lockout is coming to an end. But he offered no hints about which players under contract might return, including 37-year-old forward Antonio McDyess.
McDyess appeared headed for retirement following San Antonio’s disappointing first-round playoff exit last season.
The Spurs may also be weighing the future of underperforming swingman Richard Jefferson.
Duncan worked out in the Spurs’ gym Friday along with forward James Anderson and rookie Corey Joseph.
