Kerr’s troops remain red-hot
Last season, the Warriors and Hawks faced off in a pair of down-to-the-wire thrillers. Will tonight’s battle out West be similarly spirited?
Steve Kerr’s club, in the midst of an 11-game winning streak, hosts Atlanta at 10:30 p.m. ET. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives Golden State odds of -2000 to keep its marvelous run going. Mike Budenholzer’s group, on the other hand, enters Oracle Arena as a +900 underdog.
On Saturday, the Draymond Green-less Dubs (15-2) ripped Minnesota to shreds. Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry helped compensate for the do-everything forward’s absence by combining for 62 points and 18 rebounds in the 115-102 victory. A sore left ankle may force Green to miss this evening’s action, too. Assuming No. 23 does not play, Kevon Looney likely would make his second career start.
Meanwhile, the Hawks (10-7) are struggling mightily. Most recently, they dropped a 109-94 decision to the Lakers in which All-Star Paul Millsap mustered a meager nine points. Additionally, only five Eastern Conference squads fire up more bricks from beyond the arc.

The Warriors delight in embarrassing all comers. Getting the luxury of confronting a fatigued, flailing bunch, though, seems borderline unfair. With or without Green’s involvement, expect a debacle in California.
