Celtics get past Warriors
Boston fought off a tough test from host Golden State Friday night for a 105-100 victory to improve to 10-1 overall and 5-1 on the road. The Celtics trailed 32-23 after one quarter of play, but outscored the Warriors a combined 53-39 over the ensuing two quarters to take control. Jayson Tatum paced Boston with 24 points on 8-of-23 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 6-of-7 at the free throw line. He also registered eight rebounds and three steals. Jaylen Brown tallied 22 points, eight boards, three assists and three steals. Kemba Walker accounted for 20 points, five caroms and five assists. Marcus Smart added 15 points, four dimes, three rebounds and two steals.
Kings edged at Lakers
Sacramento allowed a pair of free throws with under six seconds remaining as it fell 99-97 Friday night at Los Angeles to drop to 4-7 overall and 2-4 on the road. Buddy Hield paced the Kings with 21 points on 6-of-15 shooting including 6-of-14 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-3 at the free throw line. He also registered five rebounds and five assists. Bogdan Bogdanovic contributed 18 points, five assists, three boards and two steals off the bench. Richaun Holmes accounted for 17 points and eight caroms. Yogi Ferrell had 14 points and three assists as a reserve. Nemanja Bjelica added 11 points, four rebounds and two steals.
NBA Betting Trends
Boston
The Celtics are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games. Boston is 2-9-1 ATS in its last 12 games versus the Pacific Division.
Sacramento
The Kings are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall. Sacramento is 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven games versus the Atlantic Division.
Prediction:
Boston has to lose again at some point and it did not exactly blow past beaten up Golden State two nights ago. This game has an early start time and is tailored to favor Sacramento in nature. The Kings are without point guard D’eAaron Fox, but the Celtics are missing Gordon Heyward and have the road fatigue factor. The Kings have been strong in their last couple games without Fox and I think that continues here with big efforts from players such as Hield and Bogdanovic.
