T-Wolves drop third straight
Minnesota dropped to 0-6 on the road Monday night with a 120-109 loss at the Clippers. Derrick Rose led the way with 21 points on 8-of-20 shooting with four assists and three rebounds. Jimmy Butler tallied 20 points, five assists and four rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns had 20 points, 12 boards, four blocked shots, three steals and two assists. Taj Gibson contributed 15 points, nine boards and two steals. Andrew Wiggins added 13 points, six rebounds and two assists. The Timberwolves were outscored 57-50 in the second half to close it out.
Lakers unable to hang with Raptors
Los Angeles fell behind big in the first half Sunday night in a 121-107 home loss to the Raptors. The Lakers trailed 42-17 after the first quarter and could not climb back. With the loss, LA is now 4-6 on the season and 2-3 at home. Kyle Kuzma paced the Lakers with 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting with five rebounds and two assists. LeBron James contributed 18 points to go with six assists and two boards. Brandon Ingram had 16 points and three dimes. Lonzo Ball registered 12 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Rajon Rondo added 10 points and three assists as a reserve.

Prediction:
It pains me to do this, but I’m taking Minnesota here. Butler should be in the lineup and bettors get six points to work with against a Lakers team that struggles to blow teams out due to its defensive deficiencies. I think the Timberwolves are still going to start playing better basketball even with all the inner turmoil and they certainly don’t have to be perfect tonight to make bettors happy.
