Raptors struggle in fourth quarter
Toronto dropped to 1-1 on the season Friday night with a 112-106 defeat at Boston. The Raptors were outscored 36-24 in the fourth quarter of the loss. Pascal Siakam led Toronto with 33 points on 11-of-22 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point distance and 6-of-6 at the free throw line. He also contributed eight rebounds and two assists. Kyle Lowry accounted for 29 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Serge Ibaka added 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots off the bench.
Bulls rally past Grizzlies
Chicago secured a 110-102 victory Friday night at Memphis to move to 1-1 on the season. The Bulls outscored the hosts 31-21 in the fourth quarter to earn the win. Zach LaVine paced Chicago as he scored a game-best 37 points on 13-of-23 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range and 7-of-10 at the charity stripe. He also registered six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Coby White added 25 points, six boards and two assists off the bench as the only other Bulls player in double figures for scoring.
NBA Betting Trends
Toronto
The Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last four games versus the Central Division. Toronto is 4-1 ATS in its last four road games.
Chicago
The Bulls are 6-22 ATS in their last 28 home games. Chicago is 0-5 ATS in its last five games versus the Atlantic Division.
Prediction:
There is no real rest advantage aside from Toronto having to travel a little longer to reach Chicago. The Raptors have the better team and Siakam is making his definitive star turn. With so many new pieces fitting in for the Bulls, they are going to have their ups and downs. Tonight’s opponent is much tougher than the Grizzlies and I like Toronto to take care of business tonight as the road favorites.
