The Los Angeles Clippers impressed in their season opener two nights ago and will now look to make it 2-0 tonight on national television at the Golden State Warriors. Is another bet on LA the smart move to make?

Clippers topple rival Lakers
The Clippers posted a 112-102 victory Tuesday night as the home team against the Lakers in the season opener for both teams. In the fourth quarter, the Clippers outscored their counterparts by a score of 27-17 to take control. Kawhi Leonard led the way in his team debut with 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 1-of-5 from 3-point range plus 9-of-10 at the free throw line to go with six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Lou Williams tallied 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds off the bench. Montrezl Harrell contributed 17 points, seven boards and four assists as a reserve.
Warriors lean on Curry, Green
Golden State advanced to the NBA Finals last season but lost Kevin Durant to injury and then free agency, while Klay Thompson was also knocked out with a potential season-ending injury. While the Warriors have not ruled out that Thompson could return from his torn ACL by playoff time, they are not counting on that as the two remaining healthy stars in Steph Curry and Draymond Green will be looked on to pick up the slack. Curry’s usage rate will likely skyrocket this season and Green will continue his all-around role while probably hoisting up a few extra shots on a nightly basis. Golden State also traded for sharpshooter D’Angelo Russell to help take the burden off of Thompson being out. If Russell can take his game to another level after a breakout 2018-19 campaign, the Warriors could surprise some people this season after many years as the favorite in the West.
NBA Betting Trends

Prediction:
The Clippers showed good chemistry two nights ago and certainly have faith in their new leader, Leonard. While LA awaits a healthy Paul George, it is still a very talented squad. What LA does defensively tonight against the Warriors’ backcourt will be interesting, but there are certainly many viable options as this is a deep and loaded roster. Golden State is in an adjustment period and it might take a little time to come together, especially with Russell needed to be a focal point of the offense. I’m taking the Clips in this spot.
