Wiggins content with trade
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (TheSpread) – Andrew Wiggins knows is likely being dealt to the Timberwolves, but he isn’t letting anything bother him right now.
Last week, reports surfaced that the Cavaliers had reached an agreement with the Timberwolves to trade Wiggins, fellow No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett and a future pick to Minnesota for Kevin Love. With Wiggins signing a contract with the Cavaliers, he isn’t eligible to be traded until Aug. 23.
“Whatever happens is out of my control,” Wiggins told the Associated Press. “I’m not worrying about it right now.”
Wiggins’ coach at Kansas, Bill Self, said on Sunday that Wiggins had told him he would welcome the trade so he could be the face of a franchise as opposed to playing in the shadow of LeBron James.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Minnesota Timberwolves have 150/1 odds to win the NBA Finals in 2015. Cleveland is the favorite to win it all with 5/2 odds, while the San Antonio Spurs have 4/1 odds.
