Raptors re-sign Kyle Lowry
TORONTO, Ontario (TheSpread) – The Toronto Raptors were able to re-sign a key asset from last season, agreeing to a new deal with Kyle Lowry on Wednesday.
Lowry agreed to a four-year, $48 million deal with the Raptors according to ESPN. Lowry was being pursued by a number of teams and had offers from the Rockets and Lakers.
Lowry averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds last season for Toronto. Lowry came into this free agent period as one of the top players on the market. The point guard now averages 11.7 points and 5.4 assists per game in his career.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Toronto has been given 60/1 odds to win the NBA champions next season. The Miami Heat are listed as the favorites, as they have odds of 7/2 odds, while the San Antonio Spurs have 6/1 odds.
