Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Kawhi Leonard (right knee sprain) will not play in Game 3 vs. the Suns on Thursday. The Clippers continue to proceed as though Kawhi is day-to-day, though it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll see him imminently. L.A. hasn’t provided any specifics about the injury beyond a ‘sprain’, but Shams Charania reported that it could involve Kawhi’s ACL. For now, it’ll remain Paul George doing the heaviest lifting as the Clippers try to overcome their third straight 0-2 series deficit.
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Chris Paul (COVID protocols) intends to play in Thursday’s Game 3 vs. the Clippers, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. The Suns have taken a 2-0 series lead without their future Hall-of-Fame point guard, with Cameron Payne playing brilliantly as a fill-in starter (including 18 assists with one turnover in two games vs. L.A.). CP3 passed a cardio exam on Wednesday morning, “which is the final step to clearing the league’s health and safety protocols,” so it would be surprising if he’s not in uniform on Thursday. We’re listing him as ‘probable’ on the injury report, but could get official confirmation after the Suns’ shootaround.
Suns vs. Clippers Playoffs Prediction
The Suns are 1-9 against the spread in their last 10 road games versus the Clippers and are 6-15 against the spread in their last 21 games versus L.A. overall. The Clippers are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall, are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games as a home underdog and are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games overall.
