Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points on 14-of-22 shooting (2-of-4 3-pointers) to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks, and four turnovers in 42 minutes as the Bucks lost 114-108 to Brooklyn on Tuesday night. The Bucks blew a 17-point lead on Tuesday night and squandered an opportunity to push a short-handed Brooklyn team to the brink. Though Giannis scored 34, some questioned why the 1st-Team All-Defensive selection and former defensive player-of-the-year was not guarding Kevin Durant down the stretch as he put together one of the most spectacular playoff performances of all time. Khris Middleton tallied 25 points on 8-of-22 shooting (3-of-10 3-pointers) with four rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal. Jrue Holiday added 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting (3-of-7 3-pointers) with eight assists, three rebounds and one steal, while Brook Lopez chipped in 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting (3-of-5 3-pointers) with six rebounds. The Bucks will try to keep their season alive on Thursday night as the series shifts back to Milwaukee where they have not lost this postseason.
Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 32 points on a 15-of-30 mark from the floor in a tough Game 6 loss on Thursday, adding 11 boards, three assists, two 3-pointers and an unfortunate seven turnovers. He played 40 minutes in this one after playing the entirety of Game 5, so there is a decent chance he’s exhausted after giving it his all in a losing effort. As good as KD was tonight, this was a far cry from his outright insane performance in Game 5, but he isn’t getting as much help as many would have expected due to all of the injuries Brooklyn has faced in these playoffs. In a perfect world, the Nets would have won this game and given KD some well-earned rest, while also giving James Harden (16 points, five rebounds, seven assists, four steals, season-low one leg) some time to heal his hammy, but they’ll have to duke it out in a Saturday night Game 7. The rest of the Nets were pretty quiet, including Jeff Green (just five points) who got the start after going off in Game 5, and it’s already proven that just one other big performance in addition to Durant’s greatness should be enough to propel Brooklyn to a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.
