2016 NBA Finals Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – With the 2014-15 NBA Season now complete, here is an opening look at the odds to win the 2016 NBA Finals.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win next year’s title, as they are getting odds of 5/2 to prevail. Other short odds to win are Golden State Warriors (6/1) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (8/1).
The Cavaliers fell in six games to the Warriors in the NBA Finals. LeBron James seemed quite dejected by the loss and will likely be heavily motivated to win the title. Cleveland has never won the NBA title.
The Warriors won their first NBA title since 1975 on Tuesday night. Golden State will return most of their talent, but could lose a key player in Draymond Green. The big question for Golden State is whether it will have the same drive to repeat.
Oklahoma City is coming off a frustrating season where Kevin Durant was hurt most of the year and Russell Westbrook was also battling injuries. If both are healthy, the Thunder should be able to contend for their first title.
