Atlanta Hawks DFS Notes
Trae Young scored 25 points on 8-of-26 shooting (3-of-11 3-pointers) and tallied a playoff career-high with 18 assists with four rebounds, one steal and two turnovers as the Hawks beat the Sixers 103-100 on Monday night to tie the series up at 2-2. The Hawks struggled from three in Games 2 and 3 and again had a sub-par performance from distance in Game 3. Atlanta shot 12-40 from three, but that was enough as the Hawks tallied 24 assists on 37 made field goals with a playoff career-high 18 of them coming from Young. Young set the table for John Collins and Clint Capela in pick-and-roll all night, while also finding Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter for threes on the perimeter. Collins had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Bogdanovic scored 22 points on 9-of-24 shooting (4-of-13 3-pointers) and added four rebounds and two assists in 35 minutes. Game 5 is Wednesday in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Notes
Joel Embiid, who was the runner-up for NBA MVP was joined on the 2020-2021 second-team All-NBA by Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Julius Randle and LeBron James, the NBA announced on Tuesday. LeBron made an All-NBA team for the 17th time, which is the most in the history of the league. One of his closest friends in Paul made an All-NBA team for the 10th time in his career. His teammate, and Suns leading scorer, Devin Booker was left off of an All-NBA team to the chagrin of many. With Embiid making an All-NBA team this season, he is now eligible for a super-max extension that would pay him $191 million from 2023-2027. It was the first career All-NBA selection for Julius Randle, who led the Knicks to a top-four seed in the Eastern Conference this season. Randle is the first Knick to make All-NBA since Carmelo Anthony is 2012-2013. Lastly for Lillard, this is his sixth All-NBA selection, and his fourth time making the second team.
