The 2012 NBA Finals features the Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Miami Heat at 9:05PM ET (View Matchup). According to the oddsmakers, the Thunder are a 5-point favorite against the Heat for Game 1. The over/under total for this game has been set at 194.5 points.

When it comes to prop odds, you really have to focus on the marquee players for both teams, that being Kevin Durant for the Thunder and LeBron James for the Heat.

For Durant, he has been given over/under odds of 28.5 points for Game 1. Through 15 games in the playoffs, Durant has scored 417 points, which is an average of 27.8 points per game. Durant has scored over 28 points in three of his last five playoff games and in his last two games at home. In his two games against Miami this season, he scored 28 points and home and 30 on the road.

When it comes to James, he has been given over/under odds of 36.5 points+assists for this contest. In 18 playoff games, James has scored 554 points and has 92 assists. That is an average of 30.8 points and 5.1 assists. That combined total is just under 36. James has been a very productive scorer as of lat for the Heat, as he has scored at least 28 points in his last 10 games, which includes more than 40 twice. His assists numbers have been up and down, but he has had at least five in six of his last 10 games. In two games against the Thunder, James had 10 assists and 34 points at home in a win and then 17 points with 7 assists on the road in a loss.
