Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes
James Harden (right hamstring) and Jeff Green (left foot) have both been ruled out for Thursday’s Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks, per Malika Andrews of ESPN. Nets head coach Steve Nash said that both Harden and Green are “progressing nicely” as they both rehab from injuries. Both Nash and Green hinted that he could possibly return as early as Sunday’s Game 4, but when asked about Harden, Nash had this to say: “He’s progressing well… So we’re optimistic that we can have him back at some point.” Harden reportedly wants to “be back ASAP” but the Nets are trying to balance their desire to have the former league MVP back, while also protecting him from any type of long-term injury. Harden missed 18 games in the regular season with a right hamstring strain and two additional games with right hamstring tightness. Green on the other hand says he has dealt with plantar fascia issues all season long, but after landing awkwardly after catching a lob in Game 2 of the Nets’ first-round series against the Celtics, Green has had pain in the foot and has yet to return to practice since the injury.
Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo put up a double-double with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting to go with 11 rebounds, four assists, one block and three turnovers as the Bucks were blown out 125-86 by the Nets on Monday night. The Bucks again out-rebounded the Nets and had more points in the paint, but again, neither mattered as Milwaukee was blown out of the gym on Monday. The Bucks shot 8-of-27 from three, while Brooklyn shot 21-42. Through two games, Milwaukee is now 14-of-57 from three, good for just 24.5 percent. Khris Middleton again struggled shooting the ball going 7-of-20 from the floor for 17 points while Brook Lopez went 4-of-10 for 10 points to go with six rebounds and two assists. Jrue Holiday chipped in 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting with four rebounds and three assists in Monday’s loss. They will attempt to avoid falling in a 3-0 hole on Thursday night from Milwaukee.
