Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Kawhi Leonard had a full line in a Game 7 victory against the Mavs, notching 28 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, four steals, one block and no turnovers to advance to the West semifinals vs. Utah. People are quick to forget that the Clippers were down 0-2 in this series and were victims of a 30-11 Dallas start in Game 3, but Kawhi was too much to handle the rest of the series. He was just an assist shy of his first career playoff triple-double, and if he’s this locked in against Utah, the best regular-season team in the NBA this year will have their work cut out for them. Fellow two-way stud Paul George had a nice line of his own with 22 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and four turnovers, while Terance Mann and Luke Kennard had 13 and 11 points off the bench, respectively, to contribute in the 27-6 bench scoring discrepancy.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Donovan Mitchell hit 11-of-16 shots, 5-of-8 3-pointers and 3-of-3 free throws for 30 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and a steal in 29 minutes of Wednesday’s easy 126-110 win over the Grizzlies to eliminate Memphis from the playoffs. You may not see a more efficient line from an NBA player in these playoffs and the Jazz will now face the winner of the Clippers-Mavericks series. Rudy Gobert came through with 23 points, 15 boards and three blocks, Jordan Clarkson scored 24 points with three 3-pointers, and Royce O’Neale and Bojan Bogdanovic each scored 17 points in the win. The Jazz will be hoping the Mavericks and Clippers slug it out for seven games in order to get some rest, especially after Mike Conley left tonight after aggravating his hamstring injury.
Clippers vs. Jazz Game 1 Playoffs Prediction
The Clippers are just 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games versus the Jazz and are 8-20-1 against the number in their last 29 games in Utah. The Clippers have also failed to cover in five of their last six conference semifinals games and are 1-6-1 at the betting window in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points. On the other side, the Jazz are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games and are 25-12 at the betting window in their last 37 home games.
