Timofey Mozgov Prop Odds
OAKLAND, CA (TheSpread) – With Kyrie Irving now out for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who will step up in the NBA Finals for the team? Could it be Timofey Mozgov? See what oddsmakers think.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Warriors are favored to win Game 2 at home, as they are getting odds of -8 points against the Cavs. The over/under total for tonight’s contest has been set at 200.5 points. For Mozgov, his over/under total for points in Game 2 has been set at 11.5, while his over/under for rebounds is set at 7.
The fourth-year 7-1 center had a decent regular season for Cleveland this year, averaging 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in 46 games for the Cavs. In the playoffs, Mozgov is averaging 9.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while playing 26.1 minutes per game. He has been shooting 47.7 percent from the field in the playoffs, attempting just 7.3 shots per game.
In Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Mozgov had a strong showing, scoring 16 points with seven rebounds and one block. Mozgov was 5 of 10 from the field and 6 of 8 from the free-throw line. Mozgov has scored in double figures in four of Cleveland’s last five games and he has had at least 7 rebounds in four of the last five games. It’s unclear if Mozgov will become more of a focal point, but he should benefit from more defensive attention on LeBron James.
