Love notches double-double in loss
Cleveland power forward Kevin Love had a slow start to Game 2, but his game improved as the night progressed. Love finished with 22 points on 7-of-18 rebounds and pulled down 10 rebounds in the 122-103 defeat. The Cavaliers trailed 59-46 at halftime and could not recover after the break. LeBron James had another monster game with 29 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and two steals. He shot 10-of-20 from the floor, 2-of-4 from 3-point range and 7-of-9 on free throws. George Hill contributed 15 points, while Tristan Thompson added 11 points and five boards.
Iguodala questionable to play
Golden State small forward Andre Iguodala is closer to playing and might make his NBA Finals debut tonight, but will be a game-time decision as he is listed as questionable. He averaged 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 13 playoff games prior to the injury. Steph Curry led the way in Game 2 as he poured in a game-high 33 points, hitting an NBA Finals-record nine 3-pointers on 17 attempts. He also had eight assists and seven rebounds. Kevin Durant contributed 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Klay Thompson added 20 points.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The over is 6-0 in the last six Golden State NBA Championship games. The Warriors are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
The Cavaliers are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Cleveland is 0-4 ATS in its last four Wednesday games.
Prediction:
This is a must-win game for Cleveland and will need another other-worldly performance from James. I’m going to say he will. Golden State has a tendency to lose focus on the road, especially when there is little pressure to get a win. With complete control of the series, I think the Warriors take their foot off the gas pedal and Cleveland takes advantage in front of what will be a racuous Cavs crowd.
