NBA Finals MVP Odds


(TheSpread) – The 2013 NBA Finals feature a number of talented players all capable of winning the Finals MVP. Here is a look at the odds to take home this honor.

The 2013 NBA Finals feature the Miami Heat facing the San Antonio Spurs in 2-3-2 series format. The Heat are the favorite to win the series, which impacts the odds to win the Finals MVP. According to oddsmakers at, Miami’s LeBron James is the favorite to win the MVP, as he has 4/9 odds. Other short odds to win are Tony Parker (9/2), Tim Duncan (7/1) and Dwayne Wade (8/1).

LeBron James won this award last year as he led the Heat to the championship. James is averaging 26.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals in the playoffs. He is shooting 51.4 percent from the floor during the postseason.

Tony Parker was the 2007 NBA Finals MVP, helping lead the Spurs to the title. Parker is leading the Spurs in scoring, averaging 23.0 points during the playoffs. He is also averaging 7.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds.

Tim Duncan is a three-time NBA Finals MVP, winning in 1999, 2003 and 2005. Duncan is averaging 17.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 2.1 assists in the 2013 playoffs.

Wade claimed the MVP award in 2006. Wade is averaging just 14.1 points in the playoffs, but is adding in 4.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
