NBA Finals MVP Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2015 NBA Finals get set to begin on Thursday. Which player will emerge as the best of the group and claim the Finals MVP?
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, Stephen Curry of the Warriors is favored to earn the MVP, as he has 4/7 odds. LeBron James of the Cavs is next at 17/10 while Klay Thompson of Golden State and Kyrie Irving of Cleveland each have 12/1 odds. The MVP will likely come from the winning team, so with Golden State favored in the series, Curry has the odds over LeBron.
Curry won the NBA MVP during the regular season and he has had a great playoffs thus far, averaging 29.2 points. 4.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.87 steals per game. Curry is hitting 4.9 4-pointers per game as well.
LeBron James has been playing hurt most of the playoffs, but is still averaging 27.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.79 steals per game. James is shooting just 42.8 percent from the field and 17.6 percent from 3-point land.
Thompson is second on Golden State in scoring in the playoffs, as he is averaging 19.7 points per game. He is also posting 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while hitting 3 3-pointers per game.
Irving has played in 12 of 14 playoff games for Cleveland. He is averaging 18.7 points. 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1 steal per game in the postseason. Irving is shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 48.1 percent from 3-point land.
