Western Finals Game 2 Odds
OAKLAND, CA (TheSpread) – The Houston Rockets hope to avoid a 2-0 deficit in the Western Conference Finals when they face the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 tonight at 9PM ET.
Golden State is 76-17 on the season 44-3 at home and 52-40 against the spread. Houston is 64-31 overall, 27-19 on the road and 56-39 against the spread. Golden State took Game 1 of the series, 110-106, to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The Warriors are now 5-0 against the Rockets this season, going 4-1 against the spread in the five games. Tuesday’s series opener marked the first time the Rockets haven’t lost by double digits to the Warriors.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Warriors are favored at home, as Golden State is getting odds of -11 points against the Rockets. The over/under total for the game has been set at 220 points.
The Rockets gave the Warriors all they could handle in Game 1. Houston jumped out to a double-digit lead early, but Golden State erased that by halftime. The game was still close throughout, but the Warriors just had a little more left at the end. Stephen Curry had 34 points with six rebounds and five assists to lead the Warriors while Shaun Livingston had 18 points with seven rebounds off the bench. James Harden had 28 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Rockets. Dwight Howard is questionable for this game due to a knee injury he suffered in Game 1.
