Spurs vs. Grizzlies NBA Prediction
The Grizzlies are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Spurs for Wednesday night’s NBA Playoff Play-In game at 7:30 p.m. ET. With the total sitting at 225 points, what’s the best bet when it comes to this matchup?
Game Snapshot
567 San Antonio Spurs (+3.5) at 568 Memphis Grizzlies (-3.5); o/u 225
7:30 p.m. ET, Wednesday, May 19, 2021
Venue: FedExForum, Memphis, TN
San Antonio Spurs DFS Notes
Trey Lyles (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Wednesday night vs. Memphis. Lyles has not played since late March and has been listed as questionable for over a week, but given the implications of Wednesday’s win-or-go-home game against Memphis, Popovich might be pulling out all the stops. With that being said, if Lyles does go, don’t expect him to have much of an impact if any at all.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Notes
Grayson Allen (left abdominal soreness) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday night vs. the Spurs. Allen has missed the last seven Grizzlies contests and has not played since May 5th when he logged just six minutes before being pulled due to injury. According to Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins, Allen had a “really good day” on the court at practice, but it is unclear if this means he will suit up. Should he play, Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton will both see fewer minutes off the bench.
Spurs vs. Grizzlies Game Prediction
The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Memphis and is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams overall. On the other side, the over is 4-1 in the Spurs’ last five games overall and is 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog. On the other side, the over is 5-1 in the Grizzlies’ last six games versus an opponent with a losing record and is 4-0 in their last four home games versus a team with a winning road record.
