Clippers vs. Rockets Game 2 Odds
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – After a stunning win in Game 1, the Los Angeles Clippers are looking to take a 2-0 lead on the Houston Rockets when the two meet tonight at 9:30PM ET in Game 2 of their series.
Houston is 60-28 on the season, 33-12 at home and 52-36 against the spread. Los Angeles is 61-29 on the season, 29-16 on the road and 41-48 against the spread. The Clippers took Game 1 in the series, 117-101, despite not having Chris Paul in the lineup. The Clippers have now won seven of their last nine against Houston, covering the spread in all seven wins. These two have hit the under in four of five meetings this season.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockets are the favorite in this game, as Houston is getting odds of -6.5 points against the Clippers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 214 points.
Los Angeles got a 117-101 win on Monday night thanks largely to Blake Griffin stepping up in Paul’s absence. Griffin had a triple-double of 26 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists in the win. The power forward played point guard at times, showing his diverse ability. He may have to do it again tonight as Paul is listed as doubtful to play with a hamstring injury. Houston was led in the loss by James Harden, who had 20 points with 12 assists and four steals.
