Clippers vs. Rockets Series Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Two franchises that have had early exits in recent playoff years now look to advance to the Western Conference Finals when the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers meet.
Houston is the second seed in the West. The Rockets are now 60-27 overall and 52-35 against the spread after it beat the Dallas Mavericks in five games in the first round. Los Angeles is the third seed in the conference. The Clippers are now 60-29 on the season and 40-48 against the spread. Los Angeles had a hard-fought seven-game series with the defending NBA champs, the San Antonio Spurs. Houston will have the home-court advantage in the series.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Rockets are the slight favorite to win this best-of-seven, as Houston is getting odds of -140 to win, while the Clippers are getting odds of +120 to prevail. Game 1 of this series takes place on Monday at 9:30PM ET.
These two teams met four times during the season and each team claimed two victories, one at home and one on the road. These two hit the under in all four meetings. Looking back to last season, the Clippers have won and covered the spread in six of their last eight meetings with the Rockets. One issue for the Clippers is Chris Paul, who injured his hamstring in Game 7 with the Spurs and is question for Game 1 of this series.
