According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Heat are 5-point favorites in the matchup. The over-under is currently listed at 181.5.
Neither the Celtics or the Heat had much issue advancing in the First Round of the playoffs. Boston won a pair of close games at home in its series with the New York Knicks, then pounded the opposition in the two road games to move on. Miami lost its Game 4 as the Philadelphia 76ers avoided the sweep, but the Heat rebounded and won a tight Game 5.
According to the latest NBA trends, Boston is 11-5 against the spread and 13-3 straight up versus Miami over the last three seasons. Nine of 16 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
LeBron James averaged a double-double of 24.2 points and 10.6 rebounds in five games during the series with Philadelphia. Paul Pierce paced the Celtics at 22.3 points per game in four games against the Knicks and Ray Allen just behind at 22 points per contest.
According to the latest public betting information, 67 percent of bets are currently put on the Boston Celtics.
The first game of the day involves the upset-minded Memphis Grizzlies and the host Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of that series. The Grizzlies are riding a high after topping top seed San Antonio in six games in their First Round series. Oklahoma City topped the Denver Nuggets in five games.
Oklahoma City is a 6.5-point favorite for Game 1 and the over-under is listed at 195.5.
