Mavs vs. Rockets Game 5 Odds
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – The Houston Rockets return home looking to close out the Dallas Mavericks when the two meet in Game 5 of their series today at 8PM ET.
Houston is 59-27 on the season, 32-11 at home and 51-35 against the spread. Dallas is 51-35 overall, 23-20 on the road and 37-47 against the spread. Dallas got on board in the series with a 121-109 victory in Game 4 at home. Houston has still dominated the Mavs in recent history, winning and covering the spread in seven of their last nine meetings. These two have hit the over in three of the four games in this series.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockets are favored at home in tonight’s game, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Mavericks. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 222 points.
The Mavericks fell behind 34-25 to Houston after one in Game 4, but Dallas answered with a 69-41 edge over the next two quarters to get the win. The Mavericks shot 54.3 percent from the field, led by Monta Ellis, who posted 31 points with six rebounds. J.J. Barea added 17 points and 13 assists. Houston was led by James Harden, who had 24 points with five rebounds and five assists.
