Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Bulls 4.5-point favorites over the Pacers, while the over/under total is currently 188 points. The opening tip off for this afternoon’s game is 2:35PM EST.
While Indiana has played Chicago to the limit in each of the first three games in the series, the Pacers have nothing to show for it. The latest loss was an 88-84 defeat in Game 3 despite holding Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose to 23 points on 4-of-18 shooting. Luol Deng chipped in with 21 points for Chicago to offset Rose’s poor shooting, while the Pacers were led by Danny Granger’s 21 points.
According to the latest trends, Chicago is 26-16 against the spread in road games this season. The Bulls are 9-6 ATS versus Indiana and 11-4 straight up over the last three seasons.
NBA Playoff Free Pick: The Bulls have seemingly only exerted a lot of energy when they needed to in crunch time during these first two games. This is quite possibly a tired team that needs a break. However, I think head coach Tom Thibodeau gets his troops to play an extremely efficient and hard-nosed game in this one to close out this series and get that desired rest time. Indiana has played its heart out in every contest and at this point there must be a lot of dejection in the locker room. Pacers coach Frank Vogel basically said as much in his post-game press conference after Game 3. I think Chicago plays its most efficient game here and shows just why it is the NBA’s best team record-wise. I’m rolling with the Bulls -4.5 in this one.
