Saturday NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Despite not playing up to their usual standards, the top-seeded Chicago Bulls can eliminate the Indiana Pacers in a sweep with a victory Saturday afternoon in Game 4, one of four NBA postseason games on the schedule.
The Bulls won Game 4 by an 88-84 over the Pacers, but failed to cover the 4.5-point spread handed out. According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Bulls are again 4.5-point favorites while the over-under is currently 188. Tipoff is slated for 2:35PM EST.
After scoring 36 and 39 points in the first two games of the series, Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was held to 4-of-18 shooting and 23 points by some staunch Indiana defense in Game 3. Rose had the final laugh, however, as a late layup of his helped close out the Chicago victory.
According to the latest NBA trends, Chicago is 9-6 against the spread versus Indiana over the last three seasons. Eight of 15 games in this series have gone under the total over the last three seasons.
The Portland Trail Blazers host the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 at 5:05PM EST. Portland won at home in Game 3 Thursday to pull within 2-1 in the series. Portland is a 4-point favorite in the contest and the over-under is 186. According to the latest public betting information, 56 percent of bets have been placed on the Mavericks.
Memphis is home against San Antonio in Game 3 at 7:35PM EST with the series tied at 1-1. The Grizzlies are 2-point favorites, while the over-under is 191. The Denver Nuggets are down 2-0 in the series as they entertain the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 at 10:05PM EST. Denver is a 5-point favorite and the over-under is 205.
