CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers look to establish a 2-0 series lead on Tuesday night when they host the Boston Celtics at 7PM ET.
Cleveland is 54-29 on the season, 32-10 at home and 40-43 against the spread. Boston is 40-43 on the year, 19-23 on the road and 49-33 against the spread. With a 113-100 win over Boston in Game 1, the Cavaliers have now won three of their five meetings with the Celtics this season. However, Boston has actually covered the spread in four of its last six against the Cavs. The two have hit the under in three of their last four.
According to the latest oddsmakers, the Cavaliers are the clear favorite in this game, as Cleveland is getting odds of -11 points against the Celtics. The over/under total for the game has been set at 207 points.
The Cavs got out to a slow start in Game 1, falling behind 31-27 after one, but Cleveland rolled from there and prevailed 113-110, covering an 11.5-point spread. Both teams actually shot well, as Boston was 46.8 percent from the floor and the Cavs were 45.1 percent from the field. Cleveland connected on 13 3-pointers as a team with Kyrie Irving leading the squad with 30 points, including five 3-pointers. LeBron James added 20 points with six rebounds and seven assists. Boston was led by Isaiah Thomas, who had 22 points and 10 assists off the bench.
