Thursday NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Both of the top seeds in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat, try to expand their leads as the NBA Playoffs move to Game 3 action Thursday night.
While Chicago has relatively sleepwalked during long stretches of its first two games versus the Indiana Pacers, the top seed in the East has done enough down the stretch to close out two straight victories.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Bulls are 4.5-point favorites and the over-under is 189. The opening tip off is set for 7:05PM EST.
The Bulls have relied heavily on the production of superstar point guard Derrick Rose, who who scored 39 points in the Game 1 victory and followed it up with 36 points on Monday. He dished out six assists in each contest.
According to latest NBA trends, Chicago is 49-34 ATS in all games this season. The Bulls are 8-6 against the spread versus the Pacers over the last three seasons. Seven of 14 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
The Miami Heat are up 2-0 on the Philadelphia 76ers as the series moves to Pennsylvania Thursday night with an 8:05 PM EST tipoff. Miami struggled in the first quarter of Game 1, but then played well enough the rest of the way to win that one before dominating Game 2 from the outset.
Miami is a 4.5-point favorite tonight and the over-under is at 187 right now.
The third game on the postseason schedule is the Dallas Mavericks at the Portland Trail Blazers at 10:35PM EST. Portland is a 6-point favorite and the over-under is 186. Dallas leads the series 2-0.
