Magic slip past Pacers
Orlando secured a 121-116 road win Saturday night at Indiana to improve to 38-39 on the season and 15-23 on the road. The Magic outscored the Pacers 31-24 in the fourth quarter to earn the triumph. Orlando shot 47-of-92 from the floor, 15-of-38 from 3-point range plus 12-of-14 at the free throw line. Aaron Gordon paced the Magic with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting including 4-of-6 from 3-point land plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also recorded 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Nikola Vucevic notched 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Terrence Ross added 16 points, three assists and two rebounds off the bench.
Raptors cruise past Bulls
Toronto dominated host Chicago to the tune of 124-101 Saturday night despite being without key players Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakim. Leonard is probable to play tonight, while Siakim is not listed on the injury report. Toronto led 67-56 at halftime en route to the win and continued to pull away in the third quarter. Serge Ibaka paced the Raptors with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also contributed 12 rebounds and two assists. Fred VanVleet also scored 23 points to go with six assists and four boards. Marc Gasol added 17 points, eight rebounds and six dimes.
NBA Betting Trends
Orlando
The Magic are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus the Eastern Conference. Orlando is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games overall.
Toronto
The Raptors are 1-4 ATS in their last five Monday games. Toronto is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games versus the Southeast Division.
Prediction:
Toronto should be mostly back to full strength for this game, while is bad news for a Magic team in need of every victory it can get. The Raptors are probably locked into the second seed, but are not officially eliminated from overtaking Milwaukee for the top spot and thus will be properly motivated here. Toronto is 30-9 at home this season and with the inconsistencies of Orlando, I don’t trust it in a tough road environment.
