INJURY TO WATCH
Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen (back) and small forward Denzel Valentine (knee) are both questionable. Point guard Kris Dunn (toe) is out indefinitely, while small forward Paul Zipser (foot) is also out tonight. Antonio Blakeney (wrist) is out for the season. Zach LaVine (knee) is out until early April. For the Rockets, point guard Chris Paul (hamstring) is probable. Shooting guard James Harden (rest) and center Clint Capela (rest) are both out. Power forward Luc Mbah a Moute (knee) is also out.
BETTING STRATEGY
With Harden and Capela out, this spread is pretty big but the Rockets are still very capable in the hands of Paul as long as he plays. Chicago has a lot of key injuries, but should be able to benefit from Houston missing its superstars enough to keep the final within 14. I’ve felt all season that Capela’s presence on the court is almost as valuable as Paul’s so his absence could have a big effect. Go with the Bulls here and remember that no matter how bad they are, it’s still a team that is 37-35-1 ATS this season.
