Cleveland enters play tonight having split over its last 10 games on the hardwood and after going 4-5-1 at the betting window during that stretch. The Cavs have won two in a row, beating the Pistons 128-96 as a 7.5-point favorite and the Jazz 91-83 as an 8-point favorite. Both games were in Cleveland.
Los Angeles is in a bit of a slump, dropping six of its last 10 games straight up and seven of its last 10 games against the spread. The Clippers have also dropped three in a row, two of which came on the road at Utah and Denver, respectively, as well as a home game versus the Bucks on Wednesday night. The team is just 16-16 against the spread at home this season.
OUR PREDICTION: The Cavaliers have fared very well against the Clippers at the betting window, going 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus Los Angeles and covering in four of their last five road games in this series. The Cavs are also 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine games versus a team with a winning record while the Clippers have lost five of seven coming off a loss. With the Cavs listed as a rare underdog, this is a good opportunity to grab Cleveland with the points.
