Rudy Gobert double-doubled vs. the Rockets on Friday with 14 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and six blocks in 32 minutes. Just one year ago, Gobert was in the headlines for touching a bunch of reporters mics shortly before learning he had COVID-19, followed by a tense couple months in which his relationship with Donovan Mitchell was deemed “unsalvageable.” Fast forward a year and Gobert and the Jazz own the best record in the NBA with the big man being the favorite for the Defensive Player of the Year Award. “This past year, I’ve felt like a lot of the growth and adversity and the challenges that we went through, there’s a growth process that takes place on the court and off the court as well. Guys have grown closer and the team has grown closer as a result of everything we’ve been through.”
Golden State Warriors DFS Spin
Stephen Curry had 14 points on 6-of-16 shooting vs. the Clippers on Thursday, adding four rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one triple in 27 minutes. The Clippers blew the Warriors out of the water in the third quarter so Curry took an early seat. He was visibly frustrated on the sidelines and did his best to rally the troops, but they were outmatched in every aspect tonight. Things won’t be getting any easier for the 19-19 Warriors either, as their next two opponents are the Jazz and Lakers on a back-to-back set.
