Raptors vs. Cavs Spread Prediction
The Raptors will attempt to sweep a three-game road trip when they take on the Cavs Monday night in Cleveland. With Kawhi Leonard back in the lineup tonight, is Toronto a safe bet to cover yet again on the road, this time as a favorite?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Raptors are 9-point favorites to beat the Cavs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 222 points and as of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Raptors to cover the point spread.
Toronto Raptors Fantasy Spin
Kyle Lowry flirted with a triple-double during Sunday’s easy win over the Heat, tallying 24 points, 10 assists, seven boards, six 3-pointers and six turnovers in 35 minutes. Lowry’s usage rate has been at 16.2 this season when he shares the floor with Kawhi Leonard, but with Leonard taking a rest day today, Lowry saw his usage spike to 25.9 and his 24 points accounted for a team-high. Unfortunately, the Raptors are scheduled for a matchup against the 16-50 Cavs on Monday, and after seeing a relatively heavy workload today, there’s a decent chance Lowry will be hit with a rest day tomorrow.
Cleveland Cavs Fantasy Spin
Larry Nance (bruised ribs) is listed out for Monday’s game vs. Toronto. Nance joins Tristan Thompson (foot) and John Henson (wrist) on the sidelines for the Cavs’ frontcourt. That should mean more playing time for Marquese Chriss and Ante Zizic, while Kevin Love could also get extra run in a potential blowout vs. the Raptors.
NBA Betting Trends
Toronto
The Raptors are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games following a win.
Cleveland
The Cavs have covered in five of their last six games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous contest.
Prediction
I hate backing bad teams but the Raptors are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven trips to Cleveland and are 2-7 against the number in their last nine games versus the Cavs overall. With Lowry likely to get some rest after seeing his usage rate spike yesterday in Miami, there’s some value in a Cavs team that has covered the spread in eight if their last 10 games when playing on two days of rest. The Raptors are wrapping up their road trip and are playing the second game of a back-to-back in a letdown spot. I’m taking the points.
