Durant won’t play tonight vs. Clippers
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (The Spread) – The Thunder will once again be without star Kevin Durant when they host the Clippers at 8:00PM ET tonight.
Durant is still sidelined with a foot injury and has already been ruled out for tonight’s matchup. The 26-year-old has recently ramped up his workouts but he still has yet to go through a full practice with the team. Head coach Scott Brooks said that Durant has yet to be re-evaluated and while his forward is progressing well, he still needs to hit certain benchmarks before he can return to the starting lineup.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Thunder is still a sizable favorite tonight over the Clippers at -7. Oklahoma City did opened as 5-point favorites before the number climbed to full points, while the total for this game has gone from 213.5 down to 209.
The underdog is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams but the Clippers are just 1-6 at the betting window in their last seven games versus the Thunder overall. L.A. has had some success in Oklahoma City, however, covering in 15 of its last 22 trips to OKC.
