Public Betting Trends
According to the latest oddsmakers, the Grizzlies are the slim favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Kings. The over/under total for the contest has yet to be listed. The public betting currently is unavailable for this game right now as well. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Kings end win streak
Sacramento is coming off a 112-108 loss at Oklahoma City last night to snap a three-game win streak. However, the Kings have covered the spread in four straight games. Sacramento is now 24-34 on the season, 12-19 on the road, 30-27-1 against the spread and 30-28 with the over.
The Kings are putting up 108.4 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45.8 percent from the field. Defensively, Sacramento is allowing 110.6 points per game while opponents shoot 46.8 percent against them. De’Aaron Fox is questionable to play tonight due to an abdomen injury. He didn’t play last night but is optimistic about today. Fox is averaging 19.9 points and 6.9 assists per game. Buddy Hield is adding 20.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
Memphis returns home
Memphis wrapped a four-game road trip where it lost and failed to cover in all four games. The Grizzlies are coming off a 140-112 loss at Houston on Wednesday. Memphis is 28-30 on the season, 16-13 at home, 30-27-1 against the spread and 29-29 with the over/under total.
The Grizzlies are giving up 115.3 points per game on defense this season while opponents shoot 45.7 percent against them. Offensively, Memphis is averaging 112.8 points per game while shooting 47 percent as a team. The Grizz remain without Jaren Jackson Jr. due to a knee injury. Jackson averages 16.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Ja Morant is leading the team with 17.5 points and 6.8 assists per game. Dillon Brooks adds 15.3 points per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Sacramento
The Kings are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss.
Memphis
The Grizzlies are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games as a favorite and 4-0 ATS in their last four home games.
Prediction:
The home team have won and covered in all three meetings this season and I like that to happen again tonight. The Kings are playing well as of late, while the Grizzlies are playing poorly, but Sacramento played last night and is on its third road game in four nights. Memphis has just one home game over their last eight, which was a win over the Blazers. The Grizz are still solid at home and still playing for a playoff spot with a young roster. I expect Morant to raise his game tonight and help Memphis snap out of its funk.
NBA Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies -4
