A pair of teams that lost on Friday night will square off late Saturday when the Utah Jazz host the Dallas Mavericks at 10:00 p.m. ET. Following their double-overtime loss to the Thunder in OKC, will the Jazz rally to beat and cover versus the Mavericks tonight?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Jazz are 11-point favorites to beat the Mavericks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 214.5 points and as of this writing, 53% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Jazz to cover the point spread.
Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
Jalen Brunson thrived in a spot start during a 114-104 loss to the Nuggets on Friday, scoring a career-high 22 points with two rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block, six turnovers and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes. He won the matchup against Jamal Murray to keep the Mavs in this game. For months now, the Mavs have said they wanted to free up minutes for Brunson, and it’s fair to think that his improved play is part of the reason the team was OK with letting Dennis Smith Jr. go. Big game and team support aside, Luka Doncic not playing today explains this gem of a line. If Luka is out on Saturday, Brunson could be worth a look, but Doncic should have a shot to return.
Utah Jazz Fantasy Spin
Donovan Mitchell scored 38 points (14-of-35 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs) with four rebounds, five assists, one block, four 3-pointers and three turnovers in 46 minutes against the Thunder on Friday. Mitchell needed 35 shots to score 38 points, but he did make all of his free throws. After a so so start to the season, he’s been on a tear since the calendar flipped to 2019, averaging 27.2 points, 4.5 boards, 5.1 dimes, 1.2 dimes, 2.6 triples and 2.9 turnovers on 43.3% shooting. Inefficient outings like this one are why he’s not posting better value on the season, but he’s still been getting better by the game.
NBA Betting Trends
Dallas
The Mavericks failed to cover the spread in four of their previous five games.
Utah
The Jazz are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall, including in last night’s one-point loss as a four-point underdog in OKC.
Prediction
The Jazz rallied in the second half to take the Thunder to overtime last night in OKC, then went to double-overtime before finally falling by a single point. Then they had to get on a plane to travel back to Utah where they’ll play the Mavs tonight. Utah maintained high energy throughout the game last night but I don’t know how much the Jazz have left for tonight’s game. The Mavs are 13-6-1 against the spread in their last 20 games versus the Jazz, who are just 1-5 at the betting window in their last six games playing on no rest. This is too many points.
