This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Memphis surging
The Grizzlies are surging coming out of the break. They won eight of their last 10, including a 111-104 victory at home over Portland in their last outing. They covered the spread in all eight wins. Memphis is 28-26 on the season, 12-13 on the road, 30-23-1 against the spread and 27-27 with the over/under total.
The Grizzlies are putting up 113 points per game on the season while shooting 47.3 percent from the field. Defensively, Memphis is giving up 114.4 points per contest while opponents shoot 45.3 percent against them. Ja Morant is leading the team with 17.6 points and 7.1 assists per game. Jaren Jackson Jr. is adding 17.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest.
Kings treading water
The Kings aren’t really making moves and struggling to find much consistency this season. They are coming off back-to-back losses to enter the break. Sacramento is 21-33 on the season, 11-15 at home, 26-27-1 against the spread and 29-25 with the over.
Sacramento is putting up 107.9 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45.6 percent from the field. Defensively, the Kings are giving up 110.8 points per game while opponents shoot 46.9 percent against them. Buddy Hield is leading the team with 20.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. De’Aaron Fox is adding 19.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Memphis
The Grizzlies have covered the spread in seven straight games as a favorite and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a cover.
Sacramento
The Kings are just 5-12-1 against the spread in their last 18 home games and 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record.
Prediction:
The home team has won and covered in both meetings thus far. The Kings picked up a 128-123 win at home on Jan. 2. The Grizzlies are playing pretty well right now and seem to be focused on making a playoff surge. They have won at Washington, Dallas and New York in recent outings. The Kings have been a tough out at home, but I just feel Memphis has the motivation to win that Sacramento doesn’t. The Kings aren’t even sniffing the playoffs.
NBA Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies -1
