Will anyone be able to put an end to the dominance of the Golden State Warriors out West? Here’s an updated look at the Western Conference Championship Odds coming out of the All-Star Break.
According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Warriors are the clear favorite to win, as they have -350 odds. Other short odds to win are the Houston Rockets (+800), the Oklahoma City Thunder (+1600), the Denver Nuggets (+2000) and the Los Angeles Lakers (+2000).
After a slow start to the season, the Warriors are now atop the West with a 41-16 record. They have a 2-game lead on the field right now and are 22-7 at home, 19-9 on the road and 25-11 in conference games. The Warriors have a +7.1 point differential right now.
Houston is back in fifth in the standings, 8 games out of first. Houston is 33-24 on the season, 20-9 at home, 13-15 on the road and 21-16 in conference play. The Rockets have a +2.1 point differential right now. They have dealt with injuries for a while, but are hopeful to be at full strength for the playoffs.
Oklahoma City is third in the West right now at 37-20 overall. They are four games behind the Warriors. OKC is 20-7 at home, 17-13 on the road and 21-15 in conference play. The Thunder have a +5.2 point differential, which is second-best in the West.
Denver is 39-18 on the season, 2 games behind the Thunder for first place and second in the standings. The Nuggets are 25-4 at home, 14-14 on the road and 24-10 in conference play. They have a +4.9 point differential this season.
The Lakers are way back in 10th in the standings right now, but having LeBron James earns you extra credit on odds. Los Angeles is 13 games out of first in the West and 3 games out of the eighth seed. The Lakers are 28-29 overall, 16-12 at home, 12-17 on the road and 19-18 in conference play. The Lakers have a -1.2 point differential per game.
