All-Star Game MVP Predictions
In a display of the best the NBA has to offer tonight, who will take home the NBA All-Star Game MVP honors when Team LeBron faces Team Giannis tonight?
According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Stephen Curry is favored to be the MVP, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are LeBron James (5/1), Giannis Antetokounmpo (6/1) and Kevin Durant (6/1). The NBA All-Star Game takes place tonight at 8PM ET from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina and will air live on TNT at 8PM ET.
69714 Stephen Curry 9/2
Despite Team Giannis being a 5.5-point underdog, I think they can definitely earn the upset win today. Curry is a big reason for why I believe that. When looking for an MVP in a game like this, you need to find a player that has extra motivation to be a little selfish in this exhibition. Curry definitely has a reason. This game is taking place in his hometown and he still is a big part of the Charlotte community despite playing in Golden State. Growing up in the area, Curry is going to want to put on a show tonight, and he certainly can pile up the points quickly if he gets hot.
69717 Kemba Walker 7/1
Like Curry, Walker has plenty of motivation to have a big game and he should have one. He is the lone Charlotte representative for tonight’s All-Star Game, so he is likely to see plenty of playing time tonight. Walker is one of the stronger scorers in the league, so he also can rack up the points quickly if he gets hot and I think his teammates will be looking to get him some open shots tonight.
69708 Ben Simmons 33/1
If you are looking for a longshot tonight, I think Simmons is a nice option. Simmons was clearly on a mission to try and win the MVP of the Rising Stars game on Friday and I think he will come out looking to put up some triple-double type numbers tonight. Simmons gets a lot of heat for his inability to shoot, so I think he would like to showcase his overall game tonight in his first-ever All-Star appearance. Simmons can put up some flashy assists, grab some rebounds and find some easy lay-ins and dunks to have an inflated line and push for the MVP honor if Team LeBron gets the win.
