NBA Rising Stars Challenge Odds

Unlike previous seasons where a team of rookies faced a team of second-year players, the NBA has been having Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley drafting teams from a pool of rookies and second-year talent. This is the second year the game is in this format. The game takes place tonight at 9PM ET from the Toyota Center in Houston.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Team Shaq is the favorite to win this game, as his team has odds of -6 points against Team Chuck tonight. The over/under for this game has been set at 281.5 points.

Team Shaq consists of Damian Lillard (Blazers), Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers), Klay Thompson (Warriors), Harrison Barnes (Warriors), Chandler Parsons (Rockets), Dion Waiters (Cavaliers), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Bobcats), Tyler Zeller (Cavaliers), Kemba Walker (Bobcats) and Andrew Nicholson (Magic).

Team Chuck consists of Anthony Davis (Hornets), Kenneth Faried (Nuggets), Kawhi Leonard (Spurs), Bradley Beal (Wizards), Ricky Rubio (Timberwolves), Tristan Thompson (Cavaliers), Nikola Vucevic (Magic), Brandon Knight (Pistons), Isaiah Thomas (Kings) and Alexey Shved (Timberwolves).

In last year’s meeting between Team Shaq and Team Chuck, Barkley’s team picked up a 146-133 victory over O’Neal’s squad. Irving was the MVP of the game with 34 points and nine assists.
