Updated Western Conference Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The NBA’s Western Conference is pretty stacked with potential contenders. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the West as the league is in the All-Star break.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Golden State Warriors are the favorites in the West, as they have 19/10 odds to win the title. Other short odds are the San Antonio Spurs (19/4), the Memphis Grizzlies (5/1) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (5/1).
Golden State has the best record in the West and the whole NBA at 42-9. The Warriors have a four-game lead on the field for the best mark in the conference. Golden State last won the conference title back in 1975.
San Antonio is the defending conference champion and defending NBA champion. The Spurs are currently 34-19 on the season and sit in the seventh seed in the West. They are 9 games back of Golden State.
Memphis is 39-14 on the season and currently in the second spot in the West, 4 games behind Golden State. The Grizzlies have never won a conference championship.
Oklahoma City is 28-25 on the season and on the outside looking in for the playoffs right now. The Thunder are ½ a game behind Phoenix for the eighth and final seed. OKC has had injury issues to its stars all season, but has found a way to stay in playoff contention. The Thunder last won a conference title in 2012.
