Raptors face the champs tonight
TORONTO, Ontario (TheSpread) – The Toronto Raptors hope to pick up a statement win at home on Sunday when they host the San Antonio Spurs at 7PM ET.
Toronto is 34-17 on the season, 19-9 at home and 25-25-1 against the spread. San Antonio is 32-18 on the season, 12-11 on the road and 22-26-2 against the spread. San Antonio has won seven straight meetings with the Raptors coming into tonight’s contest. The Spurs have also covered the spread in three straight against Toronto. The two have hit the over in five of their last six meetings but they have yet to meet this season.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Spurs are the slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Raptors tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 202 points.
The Spurs have won five of their last six coming into this game, but they are just 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven contests. San Antonio is coming off a six-game home stand and the Spurs have hit the under in five of their last seven games. Toronto is coming off a win on Friday night and the Raptors have won seven of their last nine games. Despite that, Toronto is just 2-3 against the spread in their last five while hitting the over in six of their last eight.
