Spurs vs. Trail Blazers Prediction
Following their five-game winning streak, the Spurs are now backsliding. Following back-to-back losses to the Kings and Warriors to start their annual “rodeo road trip,” will the Spurs rebound tonight when they visit the Trail Blazers at 10:30 p.m. ET?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Trail Blazers are 5-point favorites to beat the Spurs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 227.5 points and as of this writing, 57% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Trail Blazers to cover the point spread.
San Antonio Spurs Fantasy Spin
Rudy Gay had 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes for the short-handed Spurs on Wednesday, making 6-of-12 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs. Gay sat the bulk of the second half in what quickly became a blowout, hence the low playing time. “We have notoriously made very few trade deadline type trades,” coach Gregg Popovich said before the game. “I’m sure our [front office] is doing their due diligence, but I probably won’t lose any sleep tonight.” That’s good to hear if you own Gay or Davis Bertans (12 points in 23 minutes), since the Spurs are reportedly one of the teams with interest in Nikola Mirotic — it’s unlikely they’d meet the Pelicans’ asking price anyway.
Portland Trail Blazers Fantasy Spin
C.J. McCollum hit 13-of-25 shots and 7-of-14 3-pointers, and never went to the line, finishing with 33 points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and just two turnovers in 40 minutes of Tuesday’s 10-point loss to the Heat. That’s back-to-back 30-point games for CJM, and he’s hit at least 30 points in three of his last five games. Damian Lillard was a little off tonight, but McCollum picked up his slack. McCollum’s heroics still weren’t enough for the Blazers to stop the Heat from winning in Portland, but he’ll try to keep it rolling against the short-handed Spurs on Thursday.
NBA Betting Trends
San Antonio
The Spurs are 1-7-1 against the spread in their last nine games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest.
Portland
The Trail Blazers are 9-3 against the number in their last 12 games overall and are 36-16 ATS in their last 52 home games.
Prediction
Neither DeMar DeRozan nor LaMarcus Aldridge played on Wednesday night against the Warriors in Oakland. Even though the Spurs are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games, with both DeRozan and Aldridge back in the lineup tonight there is value in San Antonio. The Spurs are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games versus the Trail Blazers and have gone 9-2-1 at the betting window in their last 12 games coming off a loss. San Antonio is also 4-1-1 ATS in its last six games playing the second night of a back-to-back.
