Warriors continue slide
Golden State is riding a four-game losing streak right now following a 115-104 loss at Philadelphia on Tuesday. Despite the losing, the Warriors are 4-2 against the spread in their last six games. Golden State is 10-38 on the season, 3-21 on the road, 23-25 against the spread and 26-22 with the under.
The Warriors are putting up just 105.7 points per game on offense this season while shooting a league-worst 42.9 percent from the field. Defensively, Golden State is giving up 114.3 points per game while opponents shoot 47.3 percent from the field. D’Angelo Russell is leading the team with 24.0 points and 6.3 assists per game, while Alec Burks is adding 15.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest.
Celtics fall at New Orleans
Boston had a three-game win streak come to an end on Sunday in a 123-108 loss at New Orleans. The Celtics are 31-15 on the season, 18-5 at home, 27-17-2 against the spread and 26-20 with the under.
The Celtics are putting up 112.2 points per game on offense this season while they shoot 46.1 percent as a team. Defensively, Boston is giving up just 105.5 points per game while opponents shoot 44.4 percent from the field. The Celtics have been without Jayson Tatum lately due to a groin injury and he is questionable tonight as well. Enes Kanter is out as well with a hip injury. Kemba Walker is leading the team with 22.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. Jaylen Brown is adding 20.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 7-19 against the spread in their last 26 Thursday games and 10-22-1 ATS in their last 33 games following a cover.
Boston
The Celtics are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games playing on 1 day of rest and 4-1 ATS after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
Boston won the first meeting at Golden State by five points back on Nov. 15. The Celtics are coming off a loss at New Orleans, but Boston has been able to soundly beat some bad offensive teams as of late. The Celtics have the offensive weapons to do some scoring of their own, but their defense is strong enough to hold Golden State in check. The Warriors just don’t have a lot going for them right now, so I think they are going to struggle out East.
NBA Prediction: Boston Celtics -12.5
