Thunder end win streak
Oklahoma City had a five-game win streak come to an end at home on Monday in a 107-97 loss to the Mavericks. OKC is now 28-20 on the season, 13-10 on the road, 32-16 against the spread and 25-23 with the under.
The Thunder are allowing just 108.1 points per game this season while opponents shoot 45.5 percent against them. Offensively, OKC is averaging 110.3 points per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field. Chris Paul sat out Monday’s game due to the passing of Kobe Bryant, but he is expected to play today. Paul is averaging 17.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is adding 19.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.
Kings return home
Sacramento wrapped up a five-game road trip on Monday in a 133-129 win at home over Minnesota in overtime. The Kings went 2-3 on the road trip, but won the last two games. Sacramento is now 17-29 on the season, 8-13 at home, 22-23-1 against the spread and 23-23 with the over/under total.
The Kings are giving up 110.2 points per game while opponents shoot 46.8 percent against them. Offensively, Sacramento is putting up 107.1 points per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field. Buddy Hield is leading the team with 20.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. De’Aaron Fox is adding 19.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 20-7 against the spread in their last 27 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss.
Sacramento
The Kings are just 2-10-1 against the spread in their last 13 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Prediction:
Sacrament grabbed a 94-93 win at home in the lone meeting between these two this year back on Dec. 11. The Thunder have been playing quite well in recent weeks and I don’t consider Monday’s loss to be an example of a slide for them. Paul was not available and he’s still a big part of what the team does on both sides of the ball. Sacramento isn’t a team that is going to light up the scoreboard too much, so the Thunder defense should be able to impose their will and control the style of play.
NBA Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -3.5
