Bucks on another big win streak
Milwaukee is riding a 7-game win streak right now following a 111-98 win at home over Chicago on Monday. The Bucks are 4-3 against the spread during this win streak. The Bucks are now 39-6 on the season, 18-4 on the road, 25-20 against the spread and 22-22-1 with the over/under total.
The Bucks are the league’s top offense this year, averaging 119.4 points per game while shooting 48.2 percent from the field. Defensively, Milwaukee is allowing 106.7 points per game while holding opponents to 41 percent shooting. The Bucks are being led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 30 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest.
Hornets on opposite end
Charlotte is on the flip side of Milwaukee, riding a 7-game losing streak. The Hornets are coming off a 106-83 loss at home to Orlando on Monday. Charlotte is 3-4 against the spread during this skid. They are 15-30 on the season, 8-16 on the road, 22-23 against the spread and 23-22 with the over.
The Hornets are the league’s worst offense this season, allowing 103.3 points per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field. Defensively, Charlotte is giving up 110.5 points per game while opponents shoot 47.9 percent against them. Devonte’ Graham is leading the team with 18.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. Terry Rozier is adding 17.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 road games and 20-6 against the spread in their last 26 Friday games.
Charlotte
The Hornets are 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games and 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 games following a double-digit loss at home.
Prediction:
The Bucks picked up a 137-96 win at home over the Bucks back in November and I think the results could be similar today. The Bucks have the best offense in the NBA and are facing the league’s-worst offense in Charlotte. Charlotte also doesn’t have much for defense while the Bucks have the top defensive FG percentage in the NBA. This matchup just screams Milwaukee dominance. As long as the long travel doesn’t impact the legs of the Bucks, they should cover just fine.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -13.5
