Wednesday NBA Betting Report
While the lowly 76ers have actually turned into a profitable bet, the Knicks are now slumping for bettors.
Hot at the Betting Window…
Who would have thought that the 76ers would wind up in this category? Philadelphia is just 1-4 straight up in its last five games but is 4-1 against the spread and has covered four-straight numbers heading into tonight’s game versus Orlando. As of this writing the spread for the 7:00PM ET tip-off between the 76ers and Magic has yet to be released but out of the 22 teams that play tonight in the NBA, Philadelphia has the best ATS streak.
Cold at the Betting Window…
Two teams fit into this category tonight and both squads are at home. The Knicks and Lakers have each failed to cover in three-straight games, with Los Angeles also losing all three contests straight up. Tonight’s Utah-New York line has yet to be posted but the Lakers are 6.5-point home underdogs versus the Kings according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. Sacramento is 4-1-1 against the spread in its last six games versus Los Angeles while the Jazz are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games versus the Knicks.
Primetime Matchup…
The first game of ESPN’s Wednesday night double header will pit the Warriors, fresh off their dominating win in Cleveland on Monday night, versus the Bulls in Chicago at 8:00PM ET. Golden State is just 1-4-1 against the spread in its last six games in Chicago but is a 6.5-point favorite for tonight’s game. The Blazers will host the Hawks in the second game on ESPN with tip-off coming at 10:30PM ET. Atlanta is 8-3 against the spread in its last 11 games in Portland and is a 2-point road favorite tonight.
