The Detroit Pistons (12-24) and the Chicago Bulls (24-12) have gone in different directions over the past couple of years as their current identically opposite records show. While the Pistons are searching for answers with their unbalanced roster, Chicago has seemingly found the right formula with its roster as it has quietly become one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
Chicago hosts Detroit at 8:00PM EST Monday night in a Central Division battle. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Bulls a 10-point favorite, while the over-under is 189.5.
According to the latest trends, Detroit is 21-15 against the spread this season while Chicago is 20-16 ATS. Rodney Stuckey leads a balanced Pistons attack at 15.5 points per game, while Bulls phenom Derrick Rose scores 24.2 points per game.
The Pistons have recently been linked to the possible major blockbuster involving Denver’s Carmelo Anthony going to New Jersey. In the deal, Detroit would send shooting guard Richard Hamilton (13-6 ppg) to the Nets in an effort to get money off the books.
Two other games are on the NBA schedule Monday night. The Memphis Grizzlies play a 7:00PM EST contest at the Charlotte Bobcats, where Memphis is a 2-point favorite and the over-under is 193. Houston plays at Boston at 7:30PM EST, but the game had not yet been lined overnight.
