The Hawks will look to improve to 4-1 on the new season but will face a stiff challenge on Friday night when they visit the Nets at 7:30 p.m. ET. Will Atlanta cover as a 6.5-point road underdog or is the better bet Brooklyn?

Atlanta Hawks DFS Spin
Trae Young (right calf soreness) is probable for Friday’s game against the Nets. Young’s listed as probable, so it feels reasonable to expect him to be in the starting lineup Friday night. Should anything change in that regard, Brandon Goodwin would likely see an uptick in minutes as Rajon Rondo (left knee soreness) has already been ruled out. Goodwin isn’t worth rostering, regardless of fantasy format.
Brooklyn Nets DFS Spin
Kevin Durant recorded his first double-double as a Net on Wednesday with 33 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, two triples, one steal, one block and four turnovers in a win over the Hawks. Through the first three games of the year, KD was averaging just 15.7 FGA per game, but he was far more aggressive seeking out his own shot on Wednesday night, with 15 shot attempts by halftime. He finished the game on 11-of-22 shooting from the field and he was a perfect 9-of-9 from the charity stripe, and he currently ranks in the top-5 in 9-cat leagues. He’s back — and it’s a pleasure to watch him.
Hawks vs. Nets Betting Prediction
The Hawks are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five trips to Brooklyn and have not covered in 11 of their last 15 meetings with the Nets overall. They’re also 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games versus a team with a winning home record, are 1-3-1 against the number in their last five games coming off a loss and have failed to cover in five of their last seven games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest. On the other side, the Nets have covered in five of their last six games coming off a win and are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest.
